London Broil

I’ve been making this London Broil recipe, torn from the pages of Gourmet magazine, for years. You may grill or broil the meat.
Marinade
5 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup red wine
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon honey
1 1/2-pound top-round London Broil
(about 1 1/4 inches thick)

Blend all marinade ingredients in a food processor. In a heavy-duty sealable plastic bag, combine London Broil with marinade. Seal bag, pressing out excess air, and put in a shallow baking dish. Marinate steak, chilled, at least 4 hours and up to 24.

Remove steak from refrigerator and bring to room temperature before grilling or broiling to desired doneness.
Cut steak across grain into thin slices. Serves 6.
