Her Grace, Kelly that is

Even though, I am in my 20’s, I love vintage. I admire women’s style from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and 80s more than women’s style I see today. I think some women do not know how to dress classy and elegant. I just wish more women would be inspired by women like Grace Kelly. I wish I could hop on a plane and see that exhibition as well.

There is no one who epitomizes ‘style’ to me like Grace Kelly. How refreshing to see these images of sheer, feminine loveliness appreciated, once again.
As a 12-year-old girl in the mid-fifties, I started my Grace Kelly scrapbook with every photo and scrap of info I could get my hands on. I remember that I decorated the cover with nail polish and glitter—- very fitting for this classy lady. I still have the 45 rpm album of the “High Society” soundtrack which includes a Grace Kelly duo with Bing Crosby—- all long before Glamour Girl’s time. Thanks for the memory.
The Vanity Fair cover is stunning. Stylistically, and photographically, you just don’t see this depth of class, dignity, and raw, unadulterated glamour anymore. Even when today’s stars pose in “yesteryear” photo shoots, something is missing. Authenticity, I think.
Well, if the volcanic ash ever dissipates
I’ll be going to London.. The V&A is not only a fantastic repository of gorgeousness inside, but it’s architecturally arresting outside as well. I definitely will be there. Thanks for the heads up!
