From its streamline moderne interiors to the retro-style cursive neon “air conditioned” sign in a window, The Oceanaire Seafood Room recalls the swanky style of Baltimore’s old supper clubs. Cherry paneling, Art Deco details, cozy banquettes, a bustling central oyster bar and white-jacketed waiters serve as a backdrop for the extensive seafood menu, flown in fresh, seven days a week. In addition, all-American classics such as clams casino, oysters Rockefeller, porterhouse steak and a BLT salad with buttermilk-bacon dressing are offered. For dessert? How about Key lime pie, a chocolate caramel brownie, apple brown Betty or cookies and milk? The wine list includes 175 bottles and halfbottles, as well as a reserve list of 100 bottles, and 40 wines by the glass.
