My Space
Everyone needs A Change of Space now and again. Hip home design elements include animal-print throws, wall-length gilded mirrors, edgy botanical prints, and graphic area rugs. This full-service interior design shop also offers holiday table setting and room design consultations for those who don’t have the time—or talent—to make their Christmas dinner table look as if it came from the pages of Martha Stewart Living. 29 Broad St., Ste. 105. 410-641-2923.

Clothes Horse
Fluff up your winter wardrobe at Bruder Hill. Find youthful fashions from Dick & Jane, fitted and structured sweaters by Kersh, and jeans by Silver Denim. Punchy accessories range from lipstick-red suede wedge sling backs by Penny Loves Kenny to oversized quilted handbags. We longed to bring home the dandelion-colored sling purse studded with silver hardware. 25 Commerce St. 410-629-1260.
Market for Memories
You’d swear you were rifling through Grandma’s attic at Town Center Antiques. The shop’s more than 180 vendors sell everything from feathered pillbox hats to mid-century furniture to an abundance of Nancy Drew classics. We couldn’t resist the assortment of vintage Christmas ornaments, from hand-beaded stars to shiny red, green, and silver balls. Just the thing for a cool, retro-looking tree!

Wine & Dine
Lunchtime means a white-linen covered table for two at Solstice. We recharged our shopping batteries with the pot of mussels, served in a saffron-mustard broth, with aged chorizo and roasted shallots, followed by chef Nino Mancari’s sophisticated take on grilled cheese: roasted figs, blue cheese, and honey on toasted raisin bread, served with fries and pickles. Take home some of Nino’s favorite wines, cheeses, and meats available at Solstice General Store right next door. 2 North Main St. 410-641-3589, solsticegrill.com.

For the Girls
Leave plenty of time to browse the classic and trendy silver, gold, and bejeweled jewelry and leather totes and clutches at TaDa. Home design elements are plentiful here, too, from no-polish Beatriz Ball crocodile-textured platters and bowls to Archipelago’s scented room diffusers. Wine lovers will want to get a handle on owner Patty Falck’s stemware hand-painted in coral, floral, and tropical motifs. 18 William St. 410-641-4430, shoptada.com.
