She is pregnant; he had just saved her from a fire in her house,
rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard,
while he continued to fight the fire.

When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper,
noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman.

He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies
and kissed him just as the photographer snapped this photograph.

Why do you think they do, are they just tired of the other three options? Can it be comfortable?
My dogs sleep this way quite a bit, and often dream, legs flinching and kicking, running and definitely doing some trash talking.
They got it all going on, then they simply roll onto their side and forget about whatever the latest escapade was.
Wouldn’t you love to know your dogs dreams?
Often when we come home my dogs will run to me, hit the floor, roll over and give me their all paws up position and I’ve heard that’s submissive behavior,
but when they sleep that way with no one else around I think there’s more to it!

Do your dogs sleep on their back, legs ups and smiling?

With day light savings time happening earlier in March and this week (Friday, March 20th) we officially declare Spring, I believe it’s time we take pause from the consistently bleak economic news and begin to feel hopeful, at least get outside with your pets and absorb some of the Vitamin D. This is not only the season for longer, warming days, but, all the great outdoor activities that begin again after the winter doldrums.

A few examples:
STYLE magazine in partnership with The Wine Market, is hosting a Wine Tasting Event this Thursday, March 19th in the STYLE Lounge at Silo Point - come out and see the unbelievable view from the 19th floor balcony. A portion of the proceeds goes to the MD SPCA! Tickets must be purchased in advance http://www.baltimorestyle.com/marwineevent.

MARYLAND ZOO is OPEN! Visit the Maryland Zoo and check out the Samson this year, the winter did him well and he is now up to 1000 lbs. - that’s 1000 lbs. of precious!

MD SPCA March for the Animals, Sunday, April 19th - get your registration form and start collecting pledges to help the shelter animals while they wait for adoption. http://www.mdspca.org/events/mfa.html

Daily evening walks with any four legged friend, get out and enjoy the longer days and be happy!
