tg_bobbys_so08We visited Clearview, or as we knew it Bobby’s a few years ago in 2007 and we were blown away. Bobby was a fantastic host and his beautiful sister Emily was what we were looking for when we returned. However, we learned they were no more. Don’t know why or how but that restaurant seemed to have fell apart. The energy died. The food was poor and the service was ok. Won’t go back. Those two were amazing. We miss them.

Our first dining experience, as well as that of a friend’s, was similar to what is described. The locale, view, ambiance - all very nice. Food overall very good. Service - another story. It was nearly 15 minutes before we had drink orders taken and probably another 15 before we got them. Order was taken in reasonable amount of time, but the time it took before the appetizers came was too long (and it was just cream of crab soup). I’d almost forgotten we got a salad. That came quite awhile after the appetizer. Entrees were very good and piping hot, so I know they were served promptly by our server. Our server did not come by the table as often as I thought they should have to see if we needed anything. We are giving it another try tonight and hoping things have improved if management has read this Chesapeake Life review.
